This Episode was inspired by a VNV Nation concert I recently attended, and spurred me to make a tribute mix.  Hopefully I have been able to capture the energy and essence of a live VNV show for fans of the band.  Hopefully I was able to adequatly represent each of their albums and musical variety.  I found it impossible to keep this mix limited to an hour so it is a bit longer than normal but well worth it.

All songs in this episode are created by VNV Nation, with the exception of track 6, which is a Bruderschaft song sung by Ronnan.

This week I set out to include some slightly more eclectic tracks than usual while using mostly new music. The theme for this show emerged on it’s own. While one can infer their own meaning, after listening to this mix, I heard the story of a lost soul, desperately searching for answers through life’s pain and failures, and sadly, in the end, falling into darkness. Welcome to the 1 year anniversary of The Requiem! To celebrate this event I will be uploading 2 separate episodes. Instead of making a new mega mix, I decided to go a different route and showcase what makes this podcast so unique from its other Industrial peers. The beauty of this podcast, is that it focuses on other aspects of the Goth music scene, and these two episodes will do just that.

For this episode, we will travel back to an age where decadence was an art, and beauty and depravity were inseparable. For the undead listeners, prepare for nostalgia to take hold, and for the living, be prepare to be whisked away upon soaring melodies and dark orchestral waves of mystery.
